WE FIT ALL TYPES OF CARAVAN MOTOR MOVERS

We will visit you at your convenience, and fit a Caravan Motor Mover on to your Caravan either at your home address, or at the address where your Caravan is stored.

This Service saves YOUR time, effort, fuel costs, the sheer inconvenience of having to take your Caravan to a workshop - possibly some distance away, and the waiting time incurred whilst the Mover is being fitted.

The price includes: fitting the Caravan Mover onto your Caravan at your home address or at your place of storage, and a demonstration of the safe, secure and effortless movement of your Caravan using the Hand-Held Remote Control.

There may be additional charges that we will need to discuss with you depending on the work required on your Caravan, and the location of your Caravan from our base in Kent.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON CARAVAN MOTOR MOVERS

At the touch of a button using a Hand-Held Remote-Control, you can manoeuvre your Caravan safely and competently in any direction, including turning a Single-Axle Caravan in a 180 degree circle on it’s own axis.

Whilst manoeuvring your Caravan, the Hand-Held Remote Control allows you to stand at any point to your Caravan, and to also walk around your Caravan whilst you are manoeuvring it, thus allowing you to keep a close check on the movement safely, and to avoid any possible obstacles.

You will also be able to:

  1. move your Caravan ‘inch by inch’ into an exact position;
  2. manoeuvre your Caravan within a very tight area;
  3. manoeuvre the Tow-Bar of your Caravan right over the top of the Tow-Ball of your Towing Vehicle ready for hitching up;
  4. position your Caravan exactly where you want it to be on a pitch, or in storage
  5. position your Caravan very tight to a wall or hedge for added security.

Caravan Motor Movers are capable of moving your caravan over rough terrain eg:

  1. grass – wet or dry
  2. Uneven ground
  3. gravel
  4. up and down inclines

There are three types of Mover Engagements (Rollers onto / off Tyres) on the market – two types are Manual Engagement of the Rollers to the Tyres, and the other type is Automatic Engagement of the Rollers to the Tyres.
The differences are reflected in the prices of Manual and Automatic Engagements.

TYPES OF ENGAGEMENTS for Single-Axle and Twin-Axle Movers:

1) - Using a Bar.
Without Actuation Bar:

Need to Engage / Dis-Engage Movers using the Bar on both sides of the Caravan.
With Actuation Bar:
Need to Engage / Dis-Engage Movers using the Bar, but only needs to be operated from one side of the Caravan, as there is an Actuation Bar fitted with the Mover.
(Bar can be operated either side of the Caravan).

2) – Wind-On Method:
Without Actuation Bar:

Need to Engage / Dis-Engage Movers using a Steadies Winder or Drill and Bit, on both sides of the Caravan.
With Actuation Bar:
Need to Engage / Dis-Engage Movers using the Steadies Winder or Drill and Bit, but only needs to be operated from one side of the Caravan, as there is an Actuation Bar fitted with the Mover.
(Steadies Winder or Drill and Bit can be operated either side of the Caravan).

3) - Automatic Engagement / Dis-engagement with MotorDrive:
This allows Engagement / Dis-Engagement Automatically by turning on a Switch or by pressing a Button. This is an optional extra, and can be fitted either at the time of the Mover being fitted, or retro-fitted at a later date if so desired.

Please Note:

Depending on the type of Chassis, you may require Brackets to allow the Caravan Motor Mover to be fitted. There is a possibility that if you have a Spare-Wheel Carrier situated under the flooring of your Caravan, this may have to be moved, or removed permanently to allow the Mover to be fitted. You would need to discuss this further with us prior to our fitting your Caravan Motor Mover.

CARAVAN BATTERY

We recommend either an 85amp or a 110amp Leisure Battery, and this would need to be fully charged on the day of installation of the Caravan Motor Mover.

TYRES

The Tyres would need to be at their correct pressures at the time of the Caravan Motor Mover being fitted.

TEAS AND COFFEES

1 Tea and 1 Coffee on arrival thankyou – milk, no sugar in either!
